Assistant Loan Officer

Description of Training Program:
The Equity Concepts PAID training program is an extensive 6 week program that will prepare you for a career as a Mortgage loan officer. Classes are 8 hours a day. Training is broken into three distinct modules:

1. Call Center Training

  • This phase of training exposes you to the challenges of selling over the phone. Our instructors coach you on how to make a successful contact and generate a quality lead.

2. Classroom Training

  • The academics of mortgages. This phase of training provides a solid foundation of mortgage basics. Including mortgage 101, reading credit reports, calculating income, and understanding program guidelines for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Sub Prime products.
  • Technology training is also conducted in our state of the art facilities. Every trainee is provided a brand new computer with a flat screen monitor. Use and training of computer programs including Genesis 2000, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and our own proprietary programs are all part of the day to day classroom activities.

3. Introductory Selling

  • The final phase of training is putting steps one and two to work. Contacting potential borrowers and structuring loan programs to fit consumer needs. Sales trainers work side by side with you during this process in order to bring you up to speed as a Loan Officer

  Program Success Stories/Income Potentials:
The top 20-30% of all trainees progress to Senior Loan Officers. A trainee's typical first year compensation can vary from $35,000 to $60,000 per year. Second and Third year income typically ranges from $80,000.00 to $150,000.00. This varies based on an individual's performance. For example, it is not uncommon for a trainee to be making $4,200.00 - $5,100.00 in commissions within 6 months. That is just commissions! Our Loan Officers also earn a salary!

Process of Selection to Training Program:
Initially we select candidates for the training program from within our company and from the following; college career fairs, direct recruiting, local advertising (Providence Journal) and national advertising (Monster.com). After the initial groups of candidates are selected the pre-employment testing begins. Testing includes; personality questionnaires, mathematical aptitude tests, and computer knowledge assessment. The final selection process is determined after background checks are done and personal interviews are completed.
